Tata Motors Reveals Avinya; A Futuristic EV Concept

After showcasing the Curvv concept recently, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) has now proceeded with the unveiling of the Avinya concept which brings a new EV architecture and design. This concept Avinya will be a part of the company’s vision of pure electric vehicles based on its 3rd generation architecture.

The Avinya EV will lie in the compact SUV or the crossover segment. The car would have a lighter battery pack compared to the Nexon EV and is expected to offer a range of over 500 km. The company has also claimed that they are working towards an infrastructure that would charge this massive EV in under 30 minutes.

Tata Avinya’s Futuristic Design:

Avinya, a name derived from Sanskrit that stands for innovation, clearly resembles its characteristics through its design. Avinya is expected to be 4.3 meters in length, but the cabin space is expected to match a 4.7-meters long car.

The EV is expected to have a large-sized front grill with a sleek T-shaped LED lightbar running horizontally on the front and rear.

Most carmakers are focusing on providing a larger size infotainment screen in their cars these days but the interior layout of Tata Avinya is quite simple, eliminating large touchscreens and countless switches. Tata Motors has done so to create a distraction and stress-free environment in the car, and to promote their voice-controlled interface.

Tata Avinya Features:

Although Tata Motors has not revealed or published a list of features that this EV would have. Yet it will host high-tech features such as connected car technology, an ADAS system, voice-controlled functionality, dedicated speakers and a mic for each seat and much more.

Tata Avinya Launch Date & Price:

It is expected that the Avinya EV will be launched by the end of 2025 and its price range could start from INR 30 lakhs.

Conclusion:

As per Tata Motors, the motivation behind the Avinya concept is to create a hassle-free experience with shear comfort and safety which is impressive.

Also, the concept of reduced charging time and having an extensive driving range will accelerate the adoption of EVs.
