New Maruti Suzuki XL6 Launched with New Features
Maruti Suzuki, a brand that needs
no introduction in the country launched its updated premium MPV, the XL6 on the
21st of April 2022. The older version of the XL6 was seen losing the
battle to rivals like Hyundai Alcazar and Kia Carens, which still offer a long
list of features if compared to the New XL6.
However, Maruti Suzuki has
realised that without upgrading they won’t survive long in the market. Keeping
this in mind the new updated six-seater MPV, the XL6 has received a few new
features that will fascinate new buyers.

Exterior
The facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6
gets a few minor changes for the outside like the front chrome grille with
redesigned LED headlamps and taillamps. The newly added dual-tone 16-inch
machine-cut alloy wheels do enhance the ruggedness but look quite smaller when
put under an MPV of this size. The company should work on offering bigger size
alloy wheels soon.
Interior
The MPV does have a black theme
interior similar to the pre-facelift version, but soft-touch materials are used
in a few spots to make the cabin more premium. However few controls like power
window, ORVM and aircon switches are similar to a ten-year-old swift and
require a quick update.
Features
The facelifted
XL6 hosts a new 7-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with features
like Apple Carplay, Android Auto, and a 360-degree view camera. The Suzuki
connect facility is made available to allow access to 40 connected features.
Through this owners can remotely check vehicle-related stats and can control, find
my car function and air conditioner.
The new XL6 is
also, Maruti Suzuki’s first vehicle in India to get a front ventilated seat
feature.
Engine
& Gearbox
The XL6 gets a
new 1.5-litre duel-jet petrol engine that churns out 103 hp and 137 Nm of
torque. A standard 5-speed manual, as well as a new 6-speed torque converter
automatic transmission with paddle-shifters, have been made available.
The Maruti
Suzuki’s Smart hybrid technology helps the MPV to deliver upto 20.97kmpl of
fuel economy. As claimed by the manufacturer, efforts have been made to further
improve the NVH levels of the car to improve the cabin experience.
Safety
The XL6's
equipment list has also been expanded, the six-seater MPV now comes standard
with four airbags, ABS, EBD, reverse sensors, electronic stability programme,
